Project Highlights

Infrastructure

Mt Dandenong Road, Ringwood Sewer Main Diversion

As part of an aged care development at 2-16 Mount Dandenong Road, Ringwood, diversion and upgrade works to the existing Yarra Valley Water (YVW) 150 diameter sewer main was required. The Mount Dandenong road sewer diversion project aims to enhance infrastructure reliability and mitigate environmental risks by rerouting the main sewer line. Jay, as a project manager navigates challenges in optimizing new 225 diameter sewer line layout while minimizing environmental impact and infrastructure disruption to the existing Ringwood Lake. His responsibilities include designing sewer systems to the MRWA sewer design guidelines, addressing regulatory requirements, and incorporating innovative solutions for pollution control. Collaborating with YVW and other stakeholders from concept to construction and through the defects liability period, Jay ensures that all asset owners requirements are addressed, facilitating smooth project implementation for a sustainable and effective sewer upgrade. Jay's precision in designing efficient sewer systems assures environmental sustainability and infrastructure reliability, providing assurance of long-term benefits for the community and the environment.

Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre

Jay worked on the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Victoria from concept design phase through to construction. As the lead civil engineer, Jay worked closely with the multidisciplinary engineering, architecture and landscape architect team to develop the civil engineering design that focuses on compliant access and efficient drainage strategies for the 6 storey and double level basement development. Along with combined rain water harvesting and on site detention solutions, the stormwater design of the project achieves the requirements of WSUD best practice guidelines.

Commercial

Malop Street, Geelong Streetscape

The Malop Street, Geelong streetscape project aims to transform the urban environment while promoting economic vitality. Jay, as a design civil engineer, plays a crucial role in integrating various civil engineering design elements such as pedestrian walkways, road, carpark grading, pavement designs, street furtniture foundations, and underground stormwater upgrade works compliments the green spaces and landscape design intent.
